Question about the hourly movement notification on Inspire

I despise the way the hourly movement tracking is done! 😞 (Need to get at least 250 Steps/hr). Fitbit's Rigid configuration of you must move Every single hour between the start time and end time you choose (7am-7pm in my case) is terrible! 😞

There are often times when I am not able to move (driving, on a flight etc) for one hour during my 7-7 window. If I miss an hour like I did today, there is no way to make it up! So if I move 11/12 hours between 7am and 7pm but also move 5am & 6am and again 7pm -11pm I still only get credit for moving 11/12 hours! 😞 THAT STINKS and is Frustrating enough I'm considering a competitive device my next go around.

Fitbit should update this to simple goal of X hours of movement per day. That way I could choose 12 hours and as long as I move 12 out of 24 hours that particular day, I win! 🙂 As is stands now, I generally move 16+ hours a day but my tracking stats average only 10 hours per day against the inflexible 7-7 goal! 😞

PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!

Welcome to the community, @NorthMNwalker.

Thanks for letting me know about this situation in regards to the reminders to move using your Inspire.

You can change and set new goals, so no worries about this, I recommend you to check this article, it will help you with the instructions to change your goals and main goals in your Fitbit device.

Let me know how it goes, please.

Cris,

I fully understand how to change the goal which doesn’t solve the issue I raised. The main issue is how Fitbit chooses to count the hours I moved against that goal. Please re-read what I posted originally and let me know if my concern is not clear.

FYI apple and others track hour movement in a positive way that motivates people vs Fitbit’s demotivating method.
