Is this for real? I have just purchased a fitbit inspire for my Daughter? Am I unable to set up an account for her as a child?

Hi @Fitzerbitzer  the only devices from Fitbit for children were the Ace series. Due to international laws, the ages for having an account on the internet are limited, so the devices Fitbit are able to allow children to use are the Ace and Ace 2. Age in the USA is under 13 and in some European countries, the age is 16 and they are not allowed to have an account, unless it is attached to the Family Account.  No other device can be set up for a child. How old is your daughter?

Thanks for the info. My daughter is 8, the Ace is far too babyish for her. Frankly this is nothing short of a disgrace. Absolutely nowhere does it state that the Inspire is only for adults and in fact there are multiple web articles recommending them for children. These draconian measures have nothing to do with any law or regulation, if the Ace can be used 'safely' by Children there is no reason why the inspire can't be set up the same way. I will most likely return the Inspire and Charge I purchased for my wife and opt for a different brand. Great marketing strategy Fitbit

Yes unfortunately thats right. You cant. You need to return of exchange
which is not always possible depending on the retailer. This seems like a
common occurrence.
And although customer service was very polite during back and forth emails,
they more or less said thanks for the feedback and we will take note.
