I had to set the account up under my personal details. So I get any notifications against the device, and then show my daughter the email. What got me the most angry on this was that on no retailer website, including Amazon and John Lewis here in the UK does the product description state that it is for adults only. In the store the staff didn't know it was for adults only. We discovered this when we got home and contacted Fitbit for support. This smacks of false and misleading advertising on the part of Fitbit

Hello @Smudger25 is this the same Inspire your daughter purchased in March of this year? You posted about it in this thread - click to go there - and were informed that the only devices from Fitbit for children were the Ace series. Due to international laws, the ages for having an account on the internet are limited, so the devices Fitbit are able to allow children to use are the Ace and Ace 2. Age in the USA is under 13 and in some European countries, the age is 16 and they are not allowed to have an account, unless it is attached to the Family Account. That information may not be at the retailers you mentioned, but it was on the Fitbit site, which can be accessed without owning a device. Sorry this is a problem. How old is your daughter?
