Recording steps when battery dead and not wearing device??

My Fitbit went dead (on vacation and forgot charger). I was surprised to see that it said I had done over 15000 steps on a day that I hadn't worn my Fitbit (same number as 2 days earlier).  Definitely something wrong here.

@Escott , welcome! It's nice to have you on board!

Let me help you with your extra steps. It could be that since your tracker didn't have any battery once it synced it moved the data to the incorrect date. Still this shouldn't happen so you can try restarting your device (this won't remove the steps but it is to ensure it is working fine). Additionally check that you don't have any logged activities for that date.

Let me know how it goes.
