Reminders to move are not working

I recently upgraded from my Flex2 to the Inspire.

All the notifications are enabled but it doesn't vibrate to remind me? How do I fix this?

Hi @TheMrsNatG, nice to see you on the Community Forums.

I'm glad to see that you've updated your old Flex 2, congratulations on your new Fitbit. If you have already set it up, please check the information about "Reminders to Move" here: What is a reminder to move on my Fitbit device?

I'll be around if you need anything else.

Thanks for the reply. Sadly neither of those links work

Hi @TheMrsNatG thank you for getting back. Have you tried to restart your Fitbit? Is your Fitbit Inspire vibrating when using other features?

So. I have restarted the Fitbit... it once sent me a notification about an email (only once) and it once vibrated when I achieved my steps.

It hasn't ever notified me of the 'notification to move' and it has never subsequently sent me any notifications. I am at a total loss what to do.

Hi @TheMrsNatG thanks for confirming that your Fitbit is not working properly to show notifications.

This is very odd, since it looks like your Fitbit is having some hardware issues. Please confirm if you have already restarted your Fitbit. You will find the steps below:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

If that doesn't solve it, we might have to check with our support team. Please give it a try and keep me posted on the resolution.

Yes, I have restarted it exactly as outlined. Just passed ten to the hour when reminder to move should have happened but still nothing ☹️

So having tried all solutions we have given up trying to fix my Fitbit's refusal to send me notifications. This is very sad because it was actually one of the main reasons I got a Fitbit in the first place, to encourage me to get up and move.

Is this a reason to send it back?!
