Inspire HR repeatedly loses BT connection with iPhone and app gets stuck at “looking” for tracker.

I have done all the resets, restarts, clear data’s, forgets, reinstalls, etc. and same thing every time!!

This is a huge fail!

Come on Fitbit This is ridiculous!!

Hi @mjh, nice to see you here. Thanks for sharing your comments about the issues with your Inspire HR.

You've tried a lot of steps, thanks for that! I'd like to confirm the model of iPhone that you're using to connect your Inspire HR. Make sure it is listed here and confirm that both your phone and Fitbit app are up to date.

I'll be waiting for your response.

I have this same issue.  Have done all the same steps.  Use an iPhone 8+, on iOS 12.2....it won't pair with Bluetooth.

Welcome to the Community Forums @janlsmay @tab3509 @Deeliz and @gerald440. Thanks a million for reaching out the Forums.

@tab3509 @Deeliz @gerald440 Sorry to hear about the syncing issues that you're having. Please check the suggested steps above and let me know what model of phone you're using.

@janlsmay Sorry for the delay and thanks for confirming what model iPhone you're using. Please confirm that you've followed these steps.

Please verify each requirement before moving on to the troubleshooting steps.

  • The Fitbit app is installed on a supported iPhone or iPad. To check, see http://www.fitbit.com/devices.
  • The latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Your iPhone or iPad has a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection.
  • The software on your iPhone or iPad is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your iPhone or iPad is on. To check, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  • Your iPhone or iPad isn't managing other Bluetooth connections. If you have multiple Bluetooth products like speakers or headsets paired to your phone along with your Fitbit device, you may have trouble using more than one at the same time. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  • If you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby. If the device is nearby, turn off Bluetooth on it.
  • Your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.
  • The firmware on your Fitbit device is up to date as described in How do I update my Fitbit device?

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app. For instructions see the Apple help article.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your iPhone or iPad. For instructions see the Apple help article.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  7. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  8. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your iPhone or iPad and try to sync.

I'll be around.

Hi

My FitBit Inspire is stuck on the setup screen

When I look up on computer/iPhone/Android phone for the bluetooth devices, I don't see it

I've soft-reset the device by plugging it to charge + 8 sec key press twice. I see the smiley face, then back to setup screen - but nothing

Can you please advice what else can I do?

Thanks!

i've been having the same issue for months.

it will sync if i close the app, turn off blue tooth, wait a while, open the app and tlet the app re-start blue tooth.... BUT

i want to be able to see on my app, as it always used to.  it is not the phone that is at fault as other apps will blue tooth (with or without the fitbit being able to sync)

@mifitous Thanks for trying to connect your Inspire HR with your devices, restarting your Inspire HR was a good workaround. What model of phone are you using? I'd consider following the steps suggested here: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I have tried all the steps for Bluetooth connection between ny iPhone XR and my inspire HR. It will sink and connect but then disconnects from Bluetooth. Then it searches over and over to connect.  I cannot receive my text or phone call notifications. Help!

This is happening to me multiple times daily with my Inspire and my Android Motorola Turbo Droid. I have to try combinations of  rebooting my Fitbit watch, phone, restarting app, and resyncing my device for at least 5 minutes each time before it catches for a each time I want to see my stats on the phone that are synced with my watch. Very annoying

I got Inspire HR January 2020 and this has been an issue, CONSTANTLY!

It is NOT that we all can not sync. We can sync if we troubleshoot. The problem is it doesn’t stay syncing. I have no idea what causes to unpair. I have been trying figure it out, but no clue. It happens randomly and almost EVERYDAY. This is unsatisfactory and I am ready to return this which my family gave me for my birthday. I have done so earlier if it is not from my kids. They are sad that I am not happy with.

Please let us all know what you come up with to fix this.

FYI, I have an iPhone X, both my phone and Fitbit app are updated. I do not have any other device that uses Bluetooth.

I have done the same uninstall, reinstall, app and tracket. Tester tracker but continues to get tracker not found notice on android phone and IPad. Worked fine until firmware update.

Sorry for typos should read reset tracker, by charging then pressing button on tracker until a smiley face appeared than applying the code on the trackers face. Uninstalling app, uninstalling tracker and reinstalling blue tooth. No syncing states tracker not found. Same fit bit worked until about a month ago on both IPad and android LG 3 model number LML212VL.

This is an ongoing issue for me as well. I’ve had the Inspire for under a year, and it worked fine until a few weeks ago. Now, it loses Bluetooth connection constantly throughout the day. Even when it is connected and actively syncing, it won’t let me access the clock face, turns off all day sync, and won’t deliver notifications, because it says the device isn’t connected. I have reset the device, un/reinstalled the app, disconnected the device, force quit the app, turned Bluetooth on and off... I am losing my patience. These devices cost far too much to function this badly. Oddly, my husband has the same phone and device, and they function seamlessly together. Lucky me that mine is garbage.

Interesting that your husband's work and that yours just recently started having problems. Ive had problems from the beginning with losing the Bluetooth and unable to reconnect. Hope it's a software issue that they'll one day resolve with an update.

Same problem on I phone 11 pro... all up to date and I’ve deleted and reinstalled fitbit app. It connects then drops out and won’t find in my devices ... seriously fed up with it now... been ongoing since last year

This is really one of the most disappointing devices I have ever owned... I have to reset the device daily if not more often to get it to communicate with my iPhone XR... updated the software and my phone.. removed the device from bluetooth settings and added back to app, followed all the instructions on this page and many others.  Nothing seems to fix this issue, had firmware updates for the fitbit still not working proper after.  My SO has the exact same issues with hers.  This is a broken device from brand new.

Everything is updated. Bluetooth has been connected fro 30 minutes now without being kicked off. However Notifications is not working. It says Bluetooth Pairing Required, when in fact Bluetooth is paired. What gives?

after 30 minutes connected, bluetooth disconnected.
