Repeatedly Inspire HR loses Bluetooth connection

Inspire HR repeatedly loses BT connection with iPhone and app gets stuck at “looking” for tracker.

I have done all the resets, restarts, clear data’s, forgets, reinstalls, etc. and same thing every time!!

This is a huge fail!

Come on Fitbit This is ridiculous!!

I don’t use the exercise function and it still disconnects. After resetting phone and watch and waiting, I can finally get it to reconnect. It’s a problem.

This is my problem as well.  I've had a fitbit for over 7 years.  I used to have the One, and never had this problem.  I got the Inspire when they stopped making the One.  It worked for a while, but now my phone (iPhone 8, latest IOS) cannot find the tracker. I no longer get notifications on my device and can't set it up because the app just spins and searches for the device when I click on Notifications.  Bluetooth connection drops randomly.  Auto-sync shuts off, or doesn't work.

This has to be a bug in a recent firmware update.  It is very frustrating and the stock answers from Fitbit are extremely unsatisfying.

Try deleting fitbit inspire and then reinstall it as a new device. I did this a couple of weeks ago and so far it’s been working ok.

I have done this repeatedly already. Anything I try works for a short while then fails again.

And I spent over an hour on the chat with Fitbit, and nothing they tried worked!

SOOOOOO frustrating! Inspire HR has given me lots of issues since purchasing. Previous two Fitbits worked much better. Have to delete device and reinstall pretty much EVERY day. This is ridiculous. Would be nice to have a functioning device these days when ALL we can really do is go out for walks.

What I've found is forgetting the device under settings/bluetooth on my iPhone then go into the Fitbit app and re-add the device with notifications off then it will rarely need to be put on the charger and reset by holding the button to get it to sync...  If I have notifications on I will have to do the connect to charger and hold button to reset almost every day... Restarting the phone or force closing the app and restarting it doesn't help.  Basically notifications are broken/non-functional for me unless I want to reset the Inspire HR every time I try and sync it.

It's been more than a year since this thread was started and I'm having the same issue. My iPhone 10 has the latest software, my Inspire HR has the latest update. I don't have notifications turned on my Fitbit. It works great when it works great but at least three times a week I have to completely forget the device and re-pair it with the app again. Of the three times a week, I have to do this, at least once it gets stuck searching for the device while I'm setting up and I have to start all over again.

Is this normal operation? Does the Inspire HR inherently have Bluetooth issues? I understand I purchased, what Fitbit classifies, as it's budget tracker. Is this an instance I should adjust my expectations of this tracker and find one that is more reliable?

And no one from Fitbit has even come on to defend their product. This is the third fitbit I have had over the years. They all fail.

I have iPhone 6S and iOS 13.4.2. Mine repeatedly loses Bluetooth connection and after trying everything suggested it still won’t pair.  It’s happened several times and the battery is draining really fast!  Mine hasn’t paired since 5/4 no matter what I try.

i was using Alta HR with no problems, I may go back to that one.  I would like to return this inspire HR, it’s been nothing but problems.

I am having the same problem as everyone else.  I got my Inspire in December and it worked fine up until the past month or so.  I have uninstalled the fitbit app and reinstalled so I know I have the latest version.  I have uninstalled the device on the app and reinstalled the device.  I have to pair my fitbit on a daily basis and sometimes more than once.  It takes forever for it to find the device to pair.  It literally can take me 25 minutes or more to get it to pair.  I just repaired it with my Iphone 7 and it worked for two seconds and now it isn't paired again.  I"m ready to throw my fitbit away and by a different tracker.

That’s the same way I feel! This thing is junk! I’m going to get my Alta hr I never had problems with it.

What will the Fitbit company do for all these unsatisfied customers that own the inspire hr? This has been very disappointing and a waste of money.

I find it fascinating that no one from FitBit has come into this conversation! Poor customer service!

I just find it super disappointing, especially for those of us who have purchased multiple Fitbit devices over the years. For me, the attraction of the Inspire HR was the size...it wasn't huge and bulky yet promised to have the features I wanted. It's ridiculous when you have to disconnect/repair on an ongoing basis. It's pretty much just a digital watch most of the time.

I am having the exact problem - soooo frustrating. My Flex 2 - which I gave to my husband - was much more reliable. Any response from Fitbit?

No response from Fitbit.  I woke up today and again my fitbit is unpaired from my phone.  I'm over it.  I am looking at buying an apple watch.  I never had this problem until about a month ago.  I've had my fitbit Inspire since December.  I had an Alta and it was way better than this is.

I agree.  They should respond.  I've tried everything they say to do multiple times and it works for a bit and then it stops again.

"Crickets" from Fitbit. I have called and emailed previously. Always same thing...is your Fitbit up to date, which iPhone is it, is it up to date, delete device, try again.......blah blah. Maybe time to go back to the pedometers you used to get in Special K cereal! Not fancy but they at least worked!

I called today and was on the phone with someone.  I told them everything I had done and we walked through a few other things.  He then sent me an email to send him my call log from my fitbit app, but when my phone is in airplane mode which it needed to be I was unable to get them what they wanted.  I emailed and told him that.  Still waiting for a reply.  I want a new fitbit or a refund.  My fitbit Inspire is only six months old and I am tired of it not pairing to my phone or the app on my computer.

Same issues.  Started a month ago and is progressively getting worse.  Restarted everything this morning and about noon it quit syncing again.  Tried deleting and reinstalling device. Turning off iPhone and everything else suggested.  Still not synced.  Last time I turned off the Fitbit inspire to try and fix this it took me days to get it to sync and during those days the time was off.  Getting really frustrated

It is getting very frustrating.  My fitbit has not been synced to my phone at all today and not because I haven't tried.  I am getting tired of having to plug it in the charger to pair it, that isn't always convenient.  It shows on my bluetooth on my phone that it is connected, but in the app it is still looking for it.
