Inspire HR repeatedly loses BT connection with iPhone and app gets stuck at “looking” for tracker.

I have done all the resets, restarts, clear data’s, forgets, reinstalls, etc. and same thing every time!!

This is a huge fail!

Come on Fitbit This is ridiculous!!

I haven’t had this problem for a while now. I think some of the updates may fixed it.

Thank you, that's what I am hoping will resolve it, however, I need to connect in order to install the updates.  How did you perform the updates without the Bluetooth connectivity?

I've been having this same problem for weeks. I've tried all of the suggested fixes multiple times - including fully wiping my brand new iPhone. I never had any of these issues with my android. It's bad enough that I have to have the iOS Fitbit app open ALL the time in order to sync continuously, but now I have to pair my phone everytime I open the app. Literally every time. It loses connection constantly so I can't rely on it for notifications and I've missed messages and phone calls due to this.

I'm at the end of my tether with this ridiculous situation.

Please can someone help?!

There is no help. It's a piece of junk. I just bought a Versa 2...hoping for better performance. So far, so good. Inspire HR was a dud from the get go and Fitbit support not much help unfortunately. Super frustrating!!!

Not sure how it happened, but my fitbit has held its connection to my
iphone for over a year now.
Honestly, I bit the bullet and signed up for the "premium". Not sure if
there is a connection or not.
So, most I can say is fitbit factory reset does help too.

Feel your pain.....good luck
Also keep iphone up to date too.

I have a Versa 2. I had a Versa 2 for years with my Android with absolutely
no issues. The problem is connecting with an iPhone. I bought my iPhone a
few months ago and these issues started then. It's ridiculous.

It must be the two softwares are not compatible? Go to Best Buy. I was
lucky and a guy explained it to me and helped me. My girlfriend has an
android and zero issues too. Knock on would my iPhone has been working
with it for a year now.--

I'm in the UK, we don't have Best Buy. It's because Fitbit and Apple refuse
to work together and can't make their equipment play nicely. I've had the
same Fitbit Versa 2 work for over a year with zero issues with an Android,
as soon as I get an iPhone - issues!

-------------------------------------------

Everything is up-to-date. I've reset everything multiple times and nothing
has made any difference. I leave the Fitbit open on my phone constantly but
that doesn't do anything to help. I'm not paying for an app I don't want to
make a £150 watch work with a £1000 phone - they should just work.

Thanks everybody for the feedback.

My issue is persistent with my Android, as well as my desktop. It’s the Bluetooth connectivity that keeps dropping, regardless what device I try to connect to.

Cheers,
André

My Fitbit issue was fitbit…..because I have Alexa, Bluetooth headphones and
all were ALWAYS connected EXCEPT my Fitbit…. Stay on top of contacting
fitbit for their help….I was going crazy contacting them on the phone. But
they did help.--

Did you ever notice: when Google bought Fitbit these problems started happening or started to more frequently occur? They want your data, so they are constantly changing the apps and trying to get you to buy the latest device.

No, lol. I noticed it when I bought an iPhone and Apple and Fitbit won't
okay nicely together for the shared goal of customer satisfaction. I had
zero problems with either my phone or my Fitbit when I was on an Android so
your theory doesn't relate to my issue at all. Plus I've had no problems
with this issue since reinstalling the Fitbit app...

Welp, my Inspire HR died last week.  I did some research about why it wasn't charging (symptoms of its terminal illness) and found out from the community that Fitbit is pretty serious about planned obsolescence.  I decided to buy an Apple Watch Series 3. A little more expensive than the Inspire, but a lot cheaper than two Fitbits.  Also, you can change the battery and keep going after 3 years.

Unfortunately, I broke my ankle while visiting my sister in Pennsylvania, and it's going to need surgery.  The Apple Watch uploaded all my Fitbit data and is admonishing me about slacking off.

I don’t think it’s just Apple—I think there must be a more serious issue. I had a Fitbit Charge 2 for THREE years, with an iPhone (on which I always keep iOS up-to-date) and had ZERO issues until it died, almost exactly at the 3 year point. So I bought an Inspire 2 and have had connectivity issues from Day 1. It loses connection several times a day sometimes. So I think the Inspire 2 has a flaw. And it’s BS to say to turn off other Bluetooth connections — why then do they work just fine, even with multiple connections active?

more bs...admit to problem and fix it.

I bought the original Fitbit One, lost it after a year, bought another One.  Never had any problem with either one of them.  Except losing them.  Nothing but problems with their successors.  I'd just like a One.

I’ve reset Fitbit device and app countless times. Turned off Bluetooth, removed device from Bluetooth. Made a new account on Fitbit app. And STILL my Fitbit only syncs once and it doesn’t reconnect to Bluetooth and sync again. Is there a fix yet since the issue arose 2 years ago?

I’m another one with an Inspire HR that repeatedly loses its Bluetooth connection (with iPhone 10) on a daily basis. This has been going on for months.

Yes Fitbit, I have done all the resets, restarts, clear data’s, forgets, reinstalls, etc. This is not my first Fitbit device and I am extremely disappointed that Fitbit could care less. With this many complaints it’s time to fix it.

Seriously considering switching brands, like a lot of others I’m sure!

My fitbit V 2 does drop Bluetooth a lot, but at least it’s reconnecting
later in day. For first year it was never-ending losses. Much better this
last year 2020/2021--

Apparently there is no fix.  I have had the problem ever since I got the Inspire HR.  I have tried everything you have without any effect.  So frustrating!
