Replacement Inspire HR not turning on

In June 2019 I purchased an Inspire HR.  In December 2019, the plastic that holds in the band disintegrated and fell apart. Fitbit sent me a replacement in January 2020. Here we are again, 6 months later, and once again the band breaks off.  Fitbit sends me another replacement but this replacement doesn’t work, won’t charge, won’t respond to anything. Support tells me I have to send this back on my dime to receive a replacement. Really?
