Running pace and distance different depending on the way to start the tracking

Hi:

I have an Inspire HR fitbit. I have noticed that when I start my Running session from the Fitbit device (Exercise -> Run -> Connect -> Start) the pace and distance that I get is very different than starting my run from the Activity Menu on the fitbit app.

Usually the pace that I get with the first option is faster than the second one, and the distance is also different.

I will try setting up my stride to the correct value, could this solve the problem?

@JoseMoran Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your pace calculation. It is odd that the measurements differ but the methods are different too. When you use your phone only your phone's sensors are used for the calculation. When you use your tracker you will use your phone's GPS but the tracker's sensors for the other data. As you mentioned it would be great if you can measure your stride length. Your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this.

Let me know how it goes.
