Sandwiches

Okay, maybe this has been asked to death, but somehow I doubt it.

This week (specifically tonight and tomorrow) I'm planning on making something that would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to log onto the Food Log. For tonight, it's a simple Liverwurst sandwich, and tomorrow, it's Sloppy Joe's.

As far as I can tell, there is absolutely no way to add sandwich type foods on the log, and there really needs to be a way. I can imagine there would be problems with dishes that are cooked at home with multiple brands, like spaghetti.

Until FitBit can come up with a way to add these, any ideas?

Hi, @EmpressReborn , I am not having difficulty finding liverwurst in the food database.  See picture below:

Then you would just add the bread and anything else you put on your sandwich to create your meal.

Similarly for Sloppy Joe:

I hope this helps!

So let me get this straight. You put in the meat as one entry, and then the bread as a separate entry? Am I understanding that right?

Hi, @EmpressReborn , it has been a very long time since I logged food, but yes, as I remember you log your meal by logging the ingredients separately to create a breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack.  You can also add a “custom food” to the database which can essentially be a recipe (like liverwurst sandwich).  For example I have a custom food which I have entered as “Guacamole breakfast” where I have added the ingredients of my breakfast (avocado, cherry tomatoes, chilli peppers).  I created it that way because it was something I eat often so I can just add it all at once rather than each time adding each ingredient.  You could do the same if it is a food combination that you eat a lot. (liverwurst sandwich)
