Scratches on face of Inspire HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The face of my Inspire HR is very scratched.  I have tried the toothpaste technique with no success.  I have purchased a screen protector for my device but I’d like to clean it up first.  Any suggestions or products that anyone can recommend?

Hi @SunsetRunner welcome to the Community Forums. Hope you are doing great and enjoying some healthy activities.

Thanks for letting me know how you're cleaning your Inspire HR screen. Your Fitbit screen is made of Grayscale OLED, we recommend to clean it in the same way you clean yourTV screen of eyeglasses. Some users have reported the following tips:

  1. Gently wipe the screen or the exterior with a dry, soft cloth, such as an eyeglass cleaner.
  2. For inks from oil markers on the screen, soak a cloth in a non-soap cleanser diluted (by less than 1% ) with water.

To clean your bands you can check the Wear & Care instructions.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, cleaning the screen of my Inspire HR is not a problem. The problem is it is scratched from regular use and it is difficult to read the data. I am looking for solutions to remove scratches. Thanks

It would be very helpful to know how to get the scratches off the screen. Is there a way to get the scratches off or replace the screen?

Where did you get a screen protector for it? Do they make them that small?

I got a screen protector on Amazon.  6 pack

from HK.  A little tricky to install but covered up the old scratches and protects going forward.

I scratched the face while trimming shrubbery.  I remembered hearing that a little toothpaste would remove scratches from cds.  It worked on my Fitbit!  Loooks good as new.  Now if it would only sync regularly . . .

Yep....syncing is sometimes an issue! Tried the toothpaste...didn't work....maybe I need to buy some denture cleaner!!

My face got very badly within a week of use, do bouldering and didn't even feel it touching against any of the rocks but was in very bad condition, support team said there's nothing they can do warranty wise which is a shame only after having it a week. Tried tooth paste, autosol, using a buffer machine etc but the scratches are super stubborn, if anyone else has any luck let me know spend hours trying to remove these scratches.

Same thing happened to me. I have scratches on the face after about two weeks and didn't even feel when it would have happened. Toothpaste didn't work either. 👎🏼 I keep buying FitBits and should not. They don't last.

I ended up buying these for mine
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q9Y45C2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
but
I felt that really wasn't what I was looking for because the screen was
still able to get scratched.

So I purchased these

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W7R248Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
.

Then I tried using the 2 together and the screen protector kept pulling up
every time I tried to put the rubber piece on so I just use the screen
protector now. They do eventually start to lift and then I just replace it.

I purchased the exact same things! Gave up on the first item and now I just change the screen protector every month or so. Helps a lot and you can't see the scratches.

I purchased the exact same two items.  I gave up on the first item.  Wasn't really what I wanted.  The screen protectors are fine.  I change them every month or so and you can't see the scratches.  A good solution.
