Screen wake on Inspire HR even when I don't move

My screen "wakes" and goes dark again in a non-stop cycle until my battery drains.  It doesn't matter if I am moving, totally still, or not even wearing the fit bit.  This is draining the battery much quicker. Now, I am having trouble charging it and keeping the charge for longer than a few hours.  I've tried the recommended troubleshooting without any luck.

Thank you for troubleshooting this issue. You don't mention what you have done exactly so I want to confirm that you have tried restarting your tracker and also checked these suggestions to save battery.
