Setting up an Inspire on a Desktop

When I get to the "Choose a Device" portion of the setup, Inspire is not even a choice. I have a newer Mac, so I don't feel this should be a problem.

@SteveinIllinois Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with you Inspire setup. You will need to perform the setup via a mobile device (iOS or Android) after that you can sync with your computer. Also tablets like iPads on Android ones could help you in this matter.

Let me know how it goes.

Sorry Alvaro, but that is no helpful answer! I've done all this, but still the device (Inspire HR) is no possible choice in the set-up! There is always just the same stupid message: "activate bluetooth to sync your tracker." Bluetooth is always activated on my mac, because of the keyboard and mouse, wich are both wireless. Could you please be so kind and give a more detailed answer or just admit, that it isn't possible in this combination?

Hello @HBriNo and welcome to the Help forums.  The only way you can set up a Fitbit on a Mac is with some Fitbit software called Fitbit Connect.  You can't set up an Inspire HR on a Mac, because the Inspire HR isn't compatible with Fitbit Connect.  You need a compatible iPhone/iPad, Android phone/tablet, or the Fitbit app for Windows 10.  It's on the box and in the Inspire HR manual.  The Inspire/Inspire HR cannot sync with a Mac after set up.  Only a PC and it needs the Fitbit app for Windows 10.  Sorry.
