Should I wear my Fitbit Ignite during HIIT or weight training if I will manually log in calories?

I own a FitBit Inspire. I stupidly thought that it automatically tracks HR and exercises. But I know figured out that only the Inspire HR does that.

I’m wondering if I should still wear my Fitbit during workouts if I’m just going to manually log them in after. I’m afraid that if I wear it, the device will track the movement and log in calories burned, which will then be added to the estimated calories burned I manually log. Won’t that mean that I’ll have an over estimate of calories burned for those workouts?

Would appreciate your thoughts! Thanks.

You won't get double credit.  When you manually log a workout after the fact, the parameters you input overwrite what data was actually recorded.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
