This happened on my old fit bit but not on new one… I don’t see a setting to turn it on.  I want to see time when I lift my arm to see screen.

Probably have Screen Wake turned off; if not could be in Sleep Mode.  Both are in Quick Settings by pressing side buttons.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
