My sleep tracker works for the first half of my night’s sleep but then after using the toilet and going back to sleep for another four hours or so, it doesn’t track the second half. Frustrating and inaccurate as I need to know what happens in the wee hours. Anyone else have this? Chat help was no help. 😢

Yes, some other people do have this. What works for me a lot of the time is to first write down what the beginning and end times are and take a screenshot (just in case). Then I either delete the "log" and put in a new one with the same beginning time and your real end time OR you can try just changing the end time. I write it down in case it doesn't work. Then I put it back in the way it was originally and try to manually add a second "sleep" that starts a minute or two after the first one ended. This probably doesn't make sense.
One concern I have is that it seems like maybe when I only change the end time (instead of deleting and completely re-entering) sometimes it just "stretches" the original data. To make sure that didn't happen, I count up the number of "peaks" of REM sleep or otherwise do a visual check to make sure something is actually different. There should be a gap of awake time where you got up for one thing.
Like everything else, this is glitchy. If you try it and something weird happens reply to this again because I've probably had it happen, too, and I may have a fix. Good luck!

Thank you for validating I’m not the only one! Was worried I was an unaware vampire. Your system seems strategic but far too much work for me. My Fitbit was a gift I didn’t ask for so I’m just trying to make the most of my sister’s expense. Hmph. But thank you again and best of health to you!

I've had this happen many times, sometimes the times are broken up several times. The sleep program is the reason I bought a smart watch. Not happy with the program.

Yes, I agree. “Help” just had me reset it then asked if I had more questions and cut the chat off before I could reply. Significant step counts I can get from my phone. I already know my pulse is high. I’ve done a sleep record app but it just recorded my cat yowling and my sleep talking. Was hoping I’d get some accurate impressions re my sleep but am also dissatisfied. I’ll keep wearing it for now and keep trying but I won’t be recommending this product.

@CarolMartin I probably made it sound like more work than what it really is. But it is definitely more work than should be necessary.

Thanks, whatever your name may be! 😊 I’m just reassured knowing I’m not the only one. Or crazy! 😂 Sheesh. Wishing you health, even relative health means something. 💐

Thank you for sharing your experience with the sleep tracking mode of your Fitbit. I have the same problem with sleep measurement. I usually have to get up anywhere from 1 to 3 times during the night, every night to use the restroom. The sleep tracker stops from the first time I get out of bed. It is very frustrating!! I have also chatted with customer service and they were of no help and abruptly ended the chat. I have sleep apnea and narcolepsy so the sleep tracker was an added bonus when I bought my Fitbit or, so I thought.
