SmartTrack not detecting my walks

It start happening 2 months ago, my Inspire HR "Exercise" tracking is inconsistent, it sometimes recognize my Walk as Exercise and sometimes not (even it show Active Minutes but NOT Exercise). I tried to restart the fitbit couple times and still have the same problem. Without manually log the exercise, is there other way to fix this issue ? ( I find this is a common issue to many users in the forum )

Thanks for troubleshooting prior to contacting us. You did a great job restarting your Fitbit.  Most Fitbit devices automatically recognize and record high-movement activities such as walk, run, or runs at least 15 minutes long through the SmartTrack feature.

  • Is this happening with other activity?

You can choose which activities your device tracks automatically from the list of options, or change the amount of time required for the activity to be recorded. You can do so on the Fitbit app:

  1. On the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Exercise tile to open your exercise history.
  2. Tap on account
  3. Tap an exercise, and adjust the duration or turn off Auto-rec

I'd advice to use track your activities using the connected GPS option too, you can track specific exercises such as a run, bike, swim, or yoga with the Exercise app. To see real-time stats, capture GPS data and review a post-workout summary on your wrist. For more information, including how to customize the exercise types on your device, see How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

For your missing activity, you can manually log it on the Fitbit app.

I'll be around in case that you need anything else.

I use the Fitbit Alta for couple years prior to this new Inspire HR and didn't have this problem. Actually I didn't have this problem when I first start using the new Inspire HR the 1st month, it just start happening recently. This is my daily activity that won't recognize as an exercise anymore : Outdoor Power Walk 4 mph (at least 1 hr)
