Does my step count reset to 0 if I remove my fitbit? I took it off to fix the strap and when I put it back on the step count was back to 0...is this normal?

Hi @CiaraR82, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Inspire reset the steps count to zero after you tried to fix the strap.

 

This behavior should not happen when fixing the strap since the Fitbit devices zero out at midnight 

 

In order to avoid this from happening again, please restart your Inspire as described in this help article. After this, monitor your Fitbit device when fixing the strap and see if it doesn't zero out the step count again.
