Steps, active minutes and miles not syncing

Just finished my daily walk and while on the fitbit device shows over 11,000 steps it’s not syncing to my app. I also don’t see the miles or active minutes on the app yet it is showing calories burned and logged today’s activity in the daily goal section. How do I get this info transferred to the app if it’s not doing it when syncing? If I delete the app and re-add it will I have to reset up my account and lose the info that is there? Help!

Hey @Kathi444, I hope you're doing great. I'll be glad to give you a hand with your inquiries.

Good to hear that you really like exercising and you're daily performing a walk activity. Thanks for troubleshooting the Fitbit app. All the data that you can see on your Fitbit Inspire HR should be transferred to your app after you sync them. You can try some troubleshooting steps to help them out to connect: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Remember to check the Fitbit requirements to sync too:

If you're using the Fitbit app for iOS, Android, or Windows 10:

  • You followed the instructions for your device in How do I set up my Fitbit device? Note that you can't set up your Fitbit device from your phone or tablet's Bluetooth screen; you must open the Fitbit app and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • The software on your phone or tablet is up to date. To see if an update is waiting to be installed:
    • iOS—Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
    • Android—Tap Settings > About Phone or About Device > Android Version.
    • Windows 10—Tap or click Start > Settings > Update & security.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your phone or tablet is on. To find it:
    • iOS—Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
    • Android—Tap Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
    • Windows 10—Click or tap Settings > Devices > Bluetooth.
  • (Android only) Double-check the following information about your phone or tablet:
  • (Windows 10 only) If you have a Fitbit Alta, make sure your tracker is updated to the latest firmware. For instructions see How do I update my Fitbit device?

About the calories that you can see on the Fitbit app, check this information about calories burned here: How does Fitbit estimate how many calories I've burned?

Let me know if this has helped you.
