@LornaIrene A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community.

Please double check that all the Inspire 2 settings have been properly set. If they have but you're still experiencing difficulties restart it and confirm you're following this procedure to stop the exercise:

  1. On your tracker, open the Exercise app

and swipe to find an exercise.
  2. Tap the exercise to choose it. If GPS is available, an icon appears at the top as your device tries to connect.
  3. Tap the play icon

to start, or swipe up to set an exercise goal. If you set a goal, press the button or buttons to go back and tap the play icon

  4. Tap the middle of the screen to scroll through your real-time stats.
  5. To pause or end your workout, press the button or buttons. To resume, tap the play icon

  6. Press the button or buttons again, and tap Finish to end the workout.
  7. Swipe up to see your workout summary.
  8. Press the button or buttons to close the summary screen.
  9. To see your GPS data, sync your tracker and tap the Exercise tile

     in the Fitbit app.

Let me know how it goes.

The same thing is happening to me with my brand new Inspire 2. I tried to follow the steps given by Silvia Fitbit, but there is no way to tap 'Finish.' I've never seen that appear. It just scrolls through my stats. My workout is ongoing now, which is not right. I got Pause to appear, once, but it is very difficult.

Any tips on how to get Finish or Pause to appear as an option? Thanks.

@Squantum Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the troubleshooting performed.

I appreciate the detailed information shared. In this case, I'd like you to restart your Inspire 2 then follow the steps described above to finish any activity on your tracker.

Hope this helps.

When I try to end my workout I can get the pause screen, but when I push the side buttons again it automatically goes to the waterlock, etc. screen. I can go back to the pause screen and restart the workout, but usually it won't let me finish (though I have been able to a few times not trying anything different).

I have the exact same problem. Trying to track my swim. So frustrating!

I followed the steps from Support (via DM) and they worked. But honestly I stopped trying to track exercise. It was frustrating and wasn't my main reason for the Fitbit. Sounds like they really need to work on this problem.
