Is there any way to disable the stopwatch and timer on the Inspire? They keep randomly turning on and I don't want them to. I believe they are contributing to the battery on my 4 day old inspire not lasting 48 hours.

Welcome to the Community Forums @Carlavanb, thanks for sharing the details of the issue that you're currently having with your Fitbit Inspire.

Thanks for sharing your feedback about the sensitivity of the screen. Please confirm that you've checked that screen wake is toggled off by holding down the button on Inspire and tapping on 'Screen Wake'. Note: even with screen wake turned off, your screen will still light up when double tapped.

I'd like to have more details about the issues that you're having with the timer in your Inspire. Also, having just 24 hours of life in your Fitbit is not normal. Please confirm it is up to date and check this article that gives some excellent tips for this.

There is no option to disable the stopwatch and timer on the Inspire. I would like to encourage you submit it as a suggested idea. Members of the Community can comment and vote for it, so it can be implemented in future updates.

Please note that our team has received feedback and comments from our users about the sensitivity of the Fitbit Inspire and we’re aware of this. I have done all of the suggestions.  Everything is turned off until something touches it and makes it turn on. This includes the stopwatch function. This happens on mine and my husband's inspire as well. On the alta I could disable all the battery drainers in the app. I don't understand why we can't do that on the inspire. My alta was set up to show me only time and steps. I don't need any of the other functions on the inspire either. I wrongly assumed the newest Fitbit product would be better than an older version. At this point, we are considering returning them both. So disappointed.

I would just like to add that I’m experiencing the same battery drain and screen sensitivity. I have wake turned off, but if it barely gets tapped it turns on. Thank you

Hi @Carlavanb thanks for getting back and for sharing your feedback. Welcome to the Fitbit Forums @Nahas. My apologies for the delay.

Sorry you feel that way about this model. As mentioned before, we understand where you're coming from but at this moment there is no option to turn off the functions you're not using. You can comment and vote for this suggestion: Turn off undesired functions Inspire.

You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

@Nahas thanks for sharing that information. As it was mentioned before, we're working on solving this and we really appreciate you reporting this. Did you tried the steps above?

I'll be around.

I'm having the exact same issues. I've had my Inspire for 3 days now and I've restarted it already but now it wont send notifications to my screen, continues to start countdown or timer at random times, and constantly switches between screens when I'm not even touching it. The sensitivity is crazy when not using it but then when I try to switch between screens it will go the other way or just not respond. Very irritating, a terrible first impression

I haven't been experiencing much battery drain, but it's really frustrating for a stopwatch or timer that I did not set and cannot figure out how to access/modify/reset/disable on the screen all the time. It's currently 10:06 Eastern and the stopwatch reads 5:44:25, like I accidentally clicked on something while I was asleep.

Yesssss - this is driving me NUTS!!! I've had my Inspire HR for about a week (it's my FIFTH FitBit since I originally got a "One" years ago) and the stopwatch keeps turning on all by itself which drains the battery rapidly. I finally figured out how to stop it once I notice that it's going, but it keeps turning on randomly all by itself. My app is up to date but the firmware on the Inspire isn't and the instructions for updating the device are wrong as there is no "All Day Sync" option. I'm hoping the latest firmware corrects the stopwatch problem but have no idea how to update and find out.

I agree -- this feature is very annoying. Stopwatch goes on constantly and drains battery. I just want to be able to check clock face data and heart rate , and track my sleep and exercise, and NOT deal with constantly have to try and stop stop watch by going to Finish.  I won't buy Fitbit again unless this is fixed.

Agree - this was a huge PITA, but thankfully the issue does appear to have been fixed so it's working great now!
