Swim in the ocean

Just wondering if we can wear the Inspire Hr to swim in the ocean, or is it just designed for swimming pool use? Thanks.

I tried swimming with my Inspire HR in a lake and it really didn't work. I don't know if I did something wrong but the tracked activity was way off and I used the swim exercise shortcut. I swam twice for about 10-15 minutes each and for some reason both tracked as 7 minute swims with no heart rate info.

So, I would say, no, it won't work...

Just to confirm, can you wear an Inspire HR while swimming?  I'm confused, as the Inspire HR box says "swimproof", but the Inspire HR care instructions state you need to dry out the Inspire HR if it gets wet.  Seems to be contradicting information.

@cmterra the help file says: "Swim-proof in a lake, pool, or ocean (up to 50 meters)"

I think the advice about drying it is to avoid skin irritation from wearing a wet tracker / band when you stop swimming.
