Swim tracking stopped working on my Fitbit Inspire

I have just been given an inspire. I set the auto-recognise for swimming, and the first 3 swims  tracked okay, although the laps weren't right as there is no metre set. It stopped tracking my swimming after that. I have reset it as per the troubleshoot in the manual but it didn't fix the problem. What else can I do?

Thanks for your help. I did restart as described in the article. The smile
icon appears but the tracker does not vibrate. Does this mean it has not
restarted properly?
The article about how the swim tracking works does not include how to add a
pool length to an inspire. I have not found how to do this on an inspire?
