Tap to wake is extremely inconsistent, by design?

Hey there,

I just purchased a Fitbit Inspire HR, mainly to track steps but also to track heart rate and keep time. I thought it would be pretty convenient to use as a conventional watch to keep time, but probably about 25% of the time the raise-to-wake feature doesn't work properly. No problem right? All I need to do is tap the screen to wake it... but it doesn't work.

I've found that if the Inspire HR hasn't been interacted with for over a minute or so tap to wake doesn't work, forcing me to make another overexaggerated arm movement or to press the button, far less convenient than tapping the screen to wake.

I'm just wondering if this is by design, that tap to wake only works if the Inspire HR has been used with in the last dozen seconds?

@TheNimble1 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR. Make sure you are tapping it at the bottom of the screen. You can try restarting your device by following these instructions.

Let me know how it goes.
