How do I set my fitbit to track my walk? We walk between 3 and 4 .miles every day my fitbit says I have 10467 steps for 2.64 miles while my Samsung health app (which has  GPS tracking) says I hav 9840 steps for 4.42 miles. I know I take about 2200 steps per mile. Is there a way to adjust the steps per mile in the fitbit app?

If I use the GPS with my fitbit will it update the steps to the steps I take in a mile and set it at that number? Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Today we walked 3.98 miles according to my Samsung health app  - but my fitbit app says 2.39 miles. I have set my stride length. I know that I have 2438 steps in a mile but the fitbit is calculating it at 3955 steps in a mile. How do I get the fitbit to recalculate to the right number of steps per mile? If I use the GPS on my tracker will that calculate the steps correctly?

The easiest way to know for sure is to try it.  Note your stride length; go for a GPS-measure walk; then check stride length again to see if it has changed.

I'm not sure if it reset stride length for run and walk or just for run.

I used the GPS for my walk this morning and it recorded the correct number of steps and miles  - will it keep those numbers or do I have to use the GPS everyday?Sent from Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
