Total daily calories burned changes a day or two later

I've noticed that the total calories burned in a day changes after a day or two. E.g. On Sunday I checked the total calories burned for Saturday - it was 2202. Today (Monday) the total calories burned for Saturday now says 2173. The discrepancy always seems to be around 30 calories. Can anyone explain why this happens?

Do you regularly update your weight? I'm wondering if it's recalculating the calories burned when your weight changes.

Hi Steve, I have changed my weight a couple of times, but it continues to adjust my calories burned after a day even when I haven't changed my weight. In the example I used, I had changed my weight on Monday, so I can't see why it would change the calories for for any of the days after that, and always on the second day after (e.g I read the calories on the Friday for the day before and then on the Saturday they have changed).

Is your Fitbit account linked to any apps that might be making the change? If not, then I'm afraid I am stumped. Hopefully someone else will post here to shed some light on the problem.
