I changed my fitbit to an Inspire HR. My last Fitbit, I would wear my fitbit on my shoelace to record steps. I usually got 3000 steps at @ 16 mins.
Tonight I did same, tied my Inspire HR around shoe and at 20 mins it only recorded @1700 steps.
I use my Fitbit primarily to record steps for my employer motion program, one being 3000 steps in 30 mins. At the rate the Inspire is recording, I'll never attain my goal. Any ideas, best practice?

Attached it to the pedal and see if it makes a difference

I use my Inspire HR on a stationary bike and keep it on my wrist. Even though my wrist doesn't move, it still adds steps. My last 20 minute workout added 1021 steps. I suspect that it measures heart rate and uses that to convert to steps and calories. BTW, the stationary bike also measures heart rate, and it's very close to what the Inspire HR reports, usually within a heartbeat or two.

Since when does a person walk while riding a bike.
My guess is without knowing the old tracker. The algorithms are different and affect the none standard movements.

Thank you, it works. A little off and takes me longer to achieve my goals but it helps.
