Tracking the number of metres Swimming, and why does the fitbit sometimes not tracking? I

Sometimes the fitbit tracks the number of meters I swam and sometimes it doesn’t recognize swimming and it lists moderate activity so no m are recorded. It seems random as I set it to track 10 min of swimming. I also don’t understand the info in the centre at the top of the screen. It reads 3’20” per 100 m I What does that mean?

@Josdavis   I've used many Fitbit models, but not the Inspire 2.  I'm sorry, I don't have an answer why your device isn't auto recognizing your swim.  the default setting for auto recognition is 15 minutes and you did the usual troubleshooting by setting the time to 10 minutes.  But I can tell you that the 3' 20" is your pace.  It took you 3 minutes and 20 seconds to swim 100 m.  Pace notation is (3" 20") can be confusing because it is the same notation as feet/inches and latitude/longitude.

Thanks very much for explaining about the pace. I could not figure it out!
My husband showed me how I can click on the swimming app to record the swim
and it worked yesterday but not today. I might have to contact fitbit to
see what they say.
