I've followed instructions, but it's rather difficult to not let go of the button while Fitbit is in charger... Surely there is a better way. I really need to "clean up" this Fitbit before I sell it, now that I have the Versa.

@gaknitter the holding of the button while in its charger will only trigger a restart and not clear any data.

Thanks. Like a dummy I deleted the HR off in the app when I got the Versa so guess I'll have to reload it and start over.

As @AlvaroFitbit mentioned, on your Inspire HR go to settings then Clear user data.

After trying to reset HR there is no vibration or clock showing but a smiley face instead. Nothing changed.
