Just picked up a Fitbit inspire hr and it won't charge. The charger will only connect upside down, i.e. not with the gold pins together. Anybody else had this problem?

Hi @Cbe001, I would contact Support. The link is at the bottom of the page. It sounds like something is malfunctioning, either with the charger or the device and it's hard to know what's going on without more information. If you do contact them, could you please post the solutions given on this thread to help other users who might be experiencing the same issue?

Hello @Cbe001 and welcome to the help forums. I am moving your thread to the Inspire/Inspire HR forum. You appear to have a device issue, not an app issue. You might get more help there.
Sorry, I have no advice for your charging issue.

I bought my son an inspire HR less than a week ago. It has been in charge all day but we are just getting a black screen. I have moved it to a wall charger and tried to reset. We are just getting a smiley face and a vibration every 12 seconds.
Any advice. I love my charge HR which I've had for a couple of years and my son was so excited to have his own Fitbit. We are so disappointed to be having these issues with such a new device.

Purchased three HR Inspire Fitbits 3 weeks ago. one going well. Two will not charge on the charges. Black screens. Can reset both to get the smiley faces, but no charge at all. what is wrong with them especially as they are so new and worked so well for three weeks. has anyone else had this problem? did you find a solution? frustrated with this expensive new model that doesn't seem to work.
this is the same problem as I have, did you find a solution?

I recently purchased the Inspire to replace my still working, old Fitbit One which I love due to the clip on feature. I don't like wearing things on my wrist, but when I saw the Inspire had a clip option, I purchased one. I have had the Inspire charging on my computer all day, & it's only at 94% charge as of 8:30 pm. Is this how long it takes to charge this device? Maybe I should stick with my FB One...sounds like A LOT of charging issues...

I'm having the same issues as the users above. When it is on the charger I hold the button for 10-12 seconds then briefly get the smiley face. When I take it off and hold the button it vibrates. I've only had this fitbit about 2 months. The "why doesn't my fitbit charge" article is of no help as none of those suggestions work or help in any way. The fitbit app can't even find the fitbit to sync.

Purchased my Fitbit Inspire HR at the end of March, stopped working in April and not matter what I do nothing. Cleaned as per instrutions, attempted to reset nothing. Moved the charging cable into different USB charging hubs nothing. I had a FITBIT One for years and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately it fell out of the little clip and I lost it and it is no longer being sold. So purchased this customer support if you can get through has been of no assistance whatsoever. I am extremely dissappointed and will not purchase another fitbit product again. A complete wast of money.

I have a Fitbit Inspire HR which has stopped charging -- just stays at 1% no matter how long I leave it on the charger. We tried cleaning the Fitbit and charger with alcohol as directed. Didn't help. Tried holding the button 5 seconds to reset. Got smiley face, but still not charging. Tried buying a new charger. Still not charging. Contacted Customer Service and they said it was just past the warranty (died same month warranty did), but that they would send a new one as a one-time customer courtesy. We just received it, and IT doesn't charge! About to give up on Fitbit.

The design for this fitbit is horrible for charging. I have the charge 2 and inspire HR. I struggle holding the inspire until the charging battery icon comes up and the minute I let go of it it stops. What is FitBit doing about this???? Mine is past warranty but ridiculous design. Can we still send them back.

I totally agree. I called support and they told me to swab the connections with alcohol which does help, but it appears I have to do this every time I charge. Is there a better model that does not have this problem?
