Unable to get Sleep Stages on Inspire HR.

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

i’ve only gotten simplified sleep data since April 26.

I have tried trouble shooting and looked at the info pages for sleep tracking. I have tightened the wrist strap, use automatic sleep tracking, and have regular sleep routines. I have slept longer than 3 hours, and I don’t edit my sleep time.

I have tried restarting my Fitbit, turning my phone on and off, closing and restarting the app. My battery is above 40% when I go to sleep.

but I’m still getting simplified sleep data.  Sleep tracking is The main reason why I bought the inspire HR.

Any suggestions?

Hello @Jaxen thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.

I appreciate you have taken the time to report this situation and for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. I have moved your post from the iOS board to the Inspire/Inspire HR board as this situation seems more related to the tracker itself than to the app.

At this moment, I would like to ask you to suggest you to go to the Device Settings in the online Dashboard. In here, tap on Inspire HR > Sleep Tracking. Select Sensitive and then sync your device.

Monitor your Inspire HR for the next few night and if you're still unable to get Sleep Stages, please let us know.

Hi @MarcoGFitbit

Thank you for responding, I honestly didn’t expect to get a response. I have switched sleep settings to sensitive and synced with my tracker. I will update in a couple of days with the result.

Thank you again,

Jaxen

Hi again @MarcoGFitbit,

I’m still having trouble with my sleep tracking. It’s been set to sensitive for 2 night now and i’ve had even worse results. It stays I’m asleep for 3h and awake the rest of the night with the simplified data.

I’v also started to have connection issues. My Fitbit will connect but it won’t  stay connected. And especially in the mornings sometime it won’t connect at all, or it will connect but won’t sync. I normally have to restart my phone and then restart my app.

Im getting pretty frustrated and have started to think about returning it.

I have the same problem. How do to I do a soft reset?

Best Answer
Spoiler
Hello, I don't see a sensitive sleep option under advanced settings in the Android app. Also, how exactly do you disable heart rate monitoring and how do you do a soft reset on the device?
The Inspire HR is starting to look pretty idiosyncratic (I also have trouble with Screen Wake and app heart rate monitoring).

Could you please provide step by step instructions? Ie I do not find any option for setting to sensitive. When I go open Fitbit app, first I am selecting top left icon (persons head) then under Account, Under subtitle Devices, select hr inspire. It brings up Clock faces,Apps, how to use, accessories...plus list Under Sync and General. No sleep setting, no place to choose sensitive

Marco - I am still having trouble on my Fitbit Inspite HR.  I have not had sleep stages in 4 days after it worked for the first week or so.  I do not see where to change the sleep sensitivity.

Thanks.

To turn off Heart Rate monitoring on your Fitbit Inspire HR
1. Swipe down on your Fitbit until Settings.
2. Click on Settings, Swipe up to Heart Rate, set it to OFF.

To soft reset your Fitbit Inspire HR

1. Attach your Fitbit to your charger.
2. Press and hold the side button for 8 Seconds.
3. Press and hold again to restart. You will see a smiley face pop up.

Re-enable Heart Rate monitoring after soft reset.

To access Sleep Sensitivity on the Fitbit App.
1. On the app main dashboard screen, click on the Top Left 'Account' icon.
2. Just scroll all the way down to find Advanced Settings
3. Set Sleep Sensitivity to Sensitive.

@dcherty @Aglaea @sybernut if you have an android the sensitivity setting you'll find in the setting but you have to go via fitbit.com NOT the app, there are more options on the website. Top right corner you'll see the radar for settings, got to the bottom of that page and you'll find sleep sensitivity

@Fooie I will give this a try too as I thought putting it to sensitive alone would work.

I'll update of it works for me for more then a one days. See you all in a few days.

I Purchased my fitbit inspire HR last week Monday , the sleep results have been very inconsistent. I had sleep stages recorded for one night. I cant get it track sleep stages despite trying everything that has been suggested in this most. I had 7 hours sleep last night but the fitbit sais that I had 1:42min sleep a only displays simplified sleep.

@DZDale perhaps try to contact customer service and let them know what you have tried and they can suggest another option.

The UK number is 0800-069-8505.

Google the Fitbit customer service number for where you live if not UK.
