Unable to install Inspire HR firmware update

For weeks I have tried to install an update for my Fitbit HR as suggested by the Fitbit app. It constantly fails with a vibration and (X). 

 

The Fitbit app continues to notify me about the firmware update and it never successfully gets installed. Am I missing something?

 

The Fitbit app is up to date. The Fitbit HR is in Bluetooth range and > 80% charged when the update has been pushed manually.

Same thing happened to me, my Inspire HR is now bricked since the last update.
