I purchased a Fitbit2 recently and I am trying to complete registration. I’m told to check the email to continue registration. I get no emails from Fitbit my email address is correct it is not in the junk folder. I called tech support they told me to log out then log back in, no email comes, I press resend several times, no email. They tell me to delete them re install the app, which I do, no email comes. Every-time I start the app I get the message to check email, nothing. I have now registered using 3 different emails and have run out of email addresses to try. Any ideas, tech support aren’t helpful. What a nightmare!

I was able to FINALLY register the device using a Google e-mail account. You can ONLY register using a Google e-mail. You need to let all users know this otherwise, they will return the device or throw it away.

Hi @avierra starting next year, Fitbit is wanting us to link to Google. click to read the information. Are you using a Gmail account? I know with my Mail.com address that emails seem to take longer to arrive than with Gmail.

Thank you for your quick reply! No I am not using Google. The first email I used was an MSN account, the second one was an iCloud account, and the second one was my company work account. Are you saying that Fitbit will only sync with a Google email account?

@avierra it works with other mail accounts, as mine is from Mail.com. Per the article I linked above, they will be changing things to where people need to have a Google account in order to use all the features of the device.
