I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) and my mum got me an Inspire since fitbits have helped her keep motivated before. I do not have a smartphone or tablet, only the Macbook. I've dug around the forums and it seems like I'm completly out of luck.
Please, Fitbit, stop assuming that because someone has a Mac they also have a smartphone! I was given this Mac for free by a scholarship program and cannot afford a smartphone/tablet. I hate it that companies assume everyone has a smartphone these days.
I'm lucky that I can set up the fitbit on mum's Windows 10 PC but I don't have much access to it since I live on my own in the dorms. I want to track my activity and my Mac is my only computer. Is there any way that I can sync the fitbit to my Mac? If not, are there any plans for adding compatibility?
Thank you.

If your tracker is connected to your account on your mom's computer than your tracker is setup and we don't have to set it up on the Macbook.
On the Mac go to https://www.fitbit.com/setup this will direct you to the Fitbit connect for Mac.
I'm not sure of the process to get Connect working. You may find that once Connect is running your tracker will sync through the Mac.

There's no option to add an Inspire to the Connect, only others like the smartwatches and Fitbit One. Trying through another option like the Fitbit One results in an error, so there seems to be no way to have my Inspire sync to my Mac.

Try using the phone to setup the inspire. Once setup, there is a good chance it will sync through the Mac.
