Weird horizontal lines, won't restart or charge

Off the charger, my fitbit screen is black and unresponsive to touch. On the charger, the smile shows up and then the normal screen but with horizontal lines through the numbers. Yet my Fitbit will not charge. It keeps saying to check the charger. I've cleaned it thoroughly. And nothing. Soon as I take it off the charger, black screen again. Nothing. Anyone?? I've had it a year and a half.

It also overheats every time I plug it in now

Hello Alicia 

Same thing happens to my grandma's device luckily for me I was able to get help from one of the moderators and I was told to change the charger and It wasn't overheating as much again.

Ah, good to know. I bought a new one already. But, I will try that and see what happens. Maybe it will solve the other issues as well. Thank you.

So, I plugged in the old one with the charger from my new one and the same issues were happening. I think it's a lost cause lol. Incase anyone finds this and wanted to know.
