Can this be done?

When I got to the app notification menu, WhatsApp is not there to be selected, this had been the same for two weeks since purchasing, I've tried send test WhatsApp message from different phones, but the app does not appear on there menu?

Any thoughts

Thanks

Hi, @michael_s_king , yes, whatsapp notifications definitely available.  What phone / OS are you using?  Someone should be able to give yu full instructions.

Basically you can choose between Whatsapp being yur orimary messenger service, or keeping with SMS and adding Whatsapp as an App notification.  I use the latter, and it works well.

Edited to add: WhatsApp will not appear on the list until you have rceived at least one Whatsapp message on yiur phone.

Phone is up-to-date iOS

I've sent test WhatsApps and it's not appearing on the list of app notification, although other apps are ??

This works fine on my charge 3, with my iPhone , Just not my wife's inspire HR with her iPhone ?

Hi,

Having used a Pebble watch for quite some time, I found this quite tricky and non-intuitive at the beginning, also. Apparently your Fitbit app has to 'learn' which apps create notifications. This is what worked for me:

>On your iPhone<

Step 1. Open 'Settings'

Step 2. Make sure Bluetooth is on and paired with your Fitbit Inspire HR

Step 3. Make sure the apps that you use appear as notifications on your phone (strokes, badges,... etc.). I wanted WhatsApp and Mindful Me to send notifications to my Fitbit.

>In your Fitbit app<

Step A. From your Dashboard go to your 'Account'. It's the little card icon on the upper right corner.

Step B. Select your device 'Fitbit Inspire HR'

Step C. Go to the bottom of this menu and make sure synchronization is set to continuous.

Step D. I use a Dutch menu but probably in the English version you's see something like 'Notifications' in the list as well. Select this one.

Step E. You see three buttons/options (smth. like calls, sms-notifications and calendar events). Below that you select 'App-notifications'.

Step F. Here's a list of apps that can send notifications to your Fitbit watch. WhatsApp wasn't shown to me in the first place, because the Fitbit-app has to 'learn' apps can send notifications. Only after performing up to step C. I was able to see WhatsApp pop up in this list after a friend sent me a message (yeah, it's quite dreadful that you have to wait for this. Same goes with the Mindful Me app. Facebook messenger, Twitter etc. I'm waiting for these apps to send me a notification so I can activate these as well).

Last but not least >On your Fitbit watch<

-Press the side button for a couple of seconds, browse to the bottom and make sure that the notification function is on.

Hope this helps for you as well!

I had similar problems on my first day, after calling fitbit helpdesk did not get much help and the guy deliberately hung up as he could not resolve the issue.

For iOS device To see any app in fitbit notifications for selection, you need to set the notification on for that app, while doing this make sure that you also check alerts appear in “Notification Center”.

After this get a notification for that app and this app will appear for selection under notification for the device in fitbit app.

I just purchased an inspire HR I don’t have any exact same issue. Michał did you ever resolve this? I’ve received Mini WhatsApp notifications but it’s still not showing up in my available apps list.
