I have just got the Inspire HR and there is a white line across my screen that stays even when you move to different screens and only goes when the screen is off. I have tried restarting but had no luck at it going has anyone else had any issues like this or any suggestions?

I would like to thank everyone who posted the solution to this problem (download/install the firmware update with a smartphone or tablet, since it can't be done with the fitbit connected to a PC). I spent an hour on the phone with tech support, who didn't know that the Inspire HR needed to download and install an undocumented firmware update. We have waited through 4 replacements (at a month a piece), each one arriving with the same outdated firmware as the first one. As an out-of-box experience, I would liken this to the experience of Brett in the first Alien movie, where the "product" blasted out of the package, wrapped itself around his face, and injected a deadly parasite. To whoever at Fitbit decided it was OK to ship a product with outdated firmware: Congratulations! Your user-hostile decision has cost your company a fair amount of customer goodwill.

What update are you talking about? I just got an Inspire HR, but I haven't seen anything about updates. Is there something else I have to do besides download the app and do what it directs?

I got my fitbit to charge fully, and then was able to connect it to my device. It still has the line over it and isn't reading anything. Is there a solution for this that anyone knows of?

I had the exact same issue. Tried to set up on the computer, but the windows app did not offer to update. I finally found this thread that said to connect to the smartphone app, so we did. Once connected, the app had a bright red arrow when you went to your device. I tapped that, and the firmware update began.
You know, FitBit, you could save a lot of support if you would explain this somewhere!!!
