White line will not disappear from Inspire HR screen even after troubleshooting, restarting, etc.

Last night, I received my Inspire HR and preceded to set it up. I began doing this process through my Windows 10 computer. The tracker appears on the app as though it is fully functioning, and I am able to sync the device, but there is a white line on the screen of the tracker that will not go away. Although I have the option to change the clock face, other features, etc. on the app, they never appear on the screen of my Inspire HR. When I try to change the clock face through the app, the screen loads for a while and says that it cannot connect to my tracker although I can sync it somehow. I have tried restarting, troubleshooting, and disconnecting and reconnecting my new Inspire HR multiple times but nothing seems to work. I have tried other solutions posted on this site too but to no avail. I have taken all other devices off of my account, disconnected them from Bluetooth, and tried reconnecting, also. I eventually was able to restart the device, but immediately after the setup process was over, the white line reappeared. I have seen many people say that it is installing an update, but I did not authorize any type of update through the app on my laptop or android phone. I left the tracker plugged in all night, also, in the hopes that this "update" would complete installing but nothing has happened. Any advice or help at all is much appreciated.

UPDATE: The line has currently disappeared from the screen and whenever I touch it or press the side button it shows the battery percentage, even if the device is not charging. When this happens, a percent will show on the screen that is usually different than the actual percentage shown when I plug in the tracker. This screen will now not go away. I have tried to reset it but only succeeded once as mentioned in my original post.
