Why do i need an internet connection to sync with phone?

Why do i need an internet connection to sync tracker with phone? what internet do here?

phone app collects data from tracker and show on phone then why it require internet??

If i am at location where internet is not there then that means i will not be able to see tracker data on my phone?? then what bluetooth is there for?

@Dinesh28   You need an internet connection because your data syncs with the Fitbit servers and is not stored on your phone.  Your tracker does store seven days of detailed data and 30 days of daily totals.  Your tracker does communicate with your phone by Bluetooth, but a sync goes to the servers.
