Why does fitbit show me my resting heart rate?

Hi there!

I recently bought the inspire HR and i absolutely adore it! I really love the heart rate monitor function which my old device did not have. But here is my problem : When i scroll down the menu i find this order: Steps, Heart rate at the moment, bpm resting heart rate, burnt cal, active minutes, etc. My question is: "Why does it show me my resting heart rate on the inspire hr?" I did not see it on the layout in the user's manual (page 16). Is there a way to turn it off? I have looked everywhere in the settings! Am i the only one with this display? I hope you understand my question. Greetings!

You are right - I just checked manual and it is not there.  I would guess they added it after manual was set and just forgot to update manual.  There is no way to change what gets displayed.  But RHR is a good number to follow, though easier to see trends on app.

Here is a brief explanation of RHR from the help section:

What is my resting heart rate on my Fitbit device?

and here is longer, more useful explanation from the  often useful Fitbit Blog:

6 Things Your Resting Heart Rate Can Tell You About Your Health.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
