Why does my Inspire fail to recognize the use of a bicycle?

Once again, my Inspire has failed to automatically detect that I am riding a bicycle, and failed to record time or calories burned. Google mapping my route for distance and consultation of my stopwatch for elapsed time to calculate calorie burn for manual entry is not a favorite pastime.

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your bike riding detection. I will gladly assist you with your detected activities. Your device will detect the activities depending on the movement it is subjected to. Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and records the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account.

Let me know how it goes.
