Why won’t inspire stay synced with phone continuously

I have to sync my fit bit and phone everyday. Inspire 2

Hi, @Kathleen284 , that is perfectly normal and how your Fitbit is designed.  Your Fitbit cannot transfer data to your account without syncing.  A daily sync also will keep the clock time perfectly accurate.

 

You do not have to do this manually if you do not want.  If you set your Fitbit app to always run in the background on your phone or tablet (with Bluetooth turned on, of course), and you turn on “all day sync” (in the app) it should do it automatically, most of the time, although occasionally you may have to give it a little nudge by tapping “sync now” (in the app).

 Is the app able to run in the background? 

How long has it been since a phone restart?

I will add another note to Julia G.'s reply. while leaving the all day sync on it may (more than likely) drain your phone battery.
