Will the Inspire 2 display be visible in the sunlight?

I have an Alta HR and I cannot see it outside in the sun. Is the Inspire 2 able to be read outside in the sunlight?

@Partymowicz A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for your interest in the new Fitbit Inspire 2.

The Fitbit Inspire 2 screen brightness can be adjusted, you could find more information about it by checking the official page and learn about the features and specs.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions!

Can the Inspire 2 clock display set to be 'always on' like the Versa does?

Best Answer

@kuldeepghosh Re: 'always on' feature, No. All of the spec sheets I've seen and reviews say "no"

Best Answer

I checked the Offical page and no where do I find where I can adjust the brightness.  Please advise.

Best Answer

Tap watch screen to wake > Scroll to 'Settings' > Scroll to 'Dim screen' ON / OFF' 😉

Thanks!

Dim mode on makes it impossible to see outside in even the modest U.K. autumn sunshine. This helps immensely

since this reply is 1-1/2 years old I am asking again.  I am currently wearing an Alta HR that cannot be read outside, bright or cloudy.  I did not find anything on the official page link that talks about the

ability to adjust brightness on the Inspire2.  I don't want to buy something that is equally unfit for outdoors viewing as the AltaHR is working fine except for that.

Unfortunately that’s the way are are made to my knowledge. My friend was just gifted a new one and you can’t see it outside. Ridiculous in this day. I bought a Charge 4 bc I read the charge you can see outside which is true but some of the information is still light and hard to see but definitely readable. I still might get an Apple Watch in the end for this main reason. Sad, bc I like Fit Bit and loved my Alta.

I upgraded from an Alta HR to an Inspire 2 a few months ago. The Alta was basically impossible to read outdoors. The Inspire 2 is much better. There is a Dim Screen option that you can turn off to make the screen brighter. I've never had problems reading the screen of the Inspire 2 outdoors.

No you can’t read it outside at all!

Hi Silvia, are you saying the fitbit inspire 2 screen brightness can be made brighter so it’s visible outdoors?  Your response above is pretty vague. my new fitbit dims way down outside and  it’s nearly useless when i run. why is that?    In settings “dim screen” is OFF.  Is there a solution?  Your suggestion to the jogger above above was to check the official page—I found nothing there to help.  Can you be specific about how to solve this?   Is there a software update perhaps?   I feel like this issue should be addressed. Thanks!

yes ive done the settings, turned off “dim screen” setting.  the screen still becomes super dim outdoors — barely there.  when you try to use it you cant even SEE it.  nothing on the official page helped me either.   so frustrating.

Apparently, ideas are not sent up the line unless they get lots of "votes."  So don't just read - vote.  Otherwise we are just talking to ourselves.

I have an Inspire 2 and can't read the screen when outdoors in sunlight or shade

I agree - super frustrating. I can't even tell time when I'm outside - useless - don't want to have to wear a watch and a Fitbit. I miss my Flex 2.

I agree completely - this issue needs to be addressed. What use is this tracker if you can't read the face.

I have the same problem - in the sun but also in the shade. Needed to check the time out on a walk and couldn't even make that out let alone any smaller print like steps. Very frustrating!
