Will the Inspire HR track my steps when pushing a pram?

I am always pushing a pram when out walking and am worried my steps will not be counted. I will be wearing the Fitbit on my wrist but am wondering if I should move it when pushing the pram? If so, where could I put it to track accurately?

Hello and welcome to the forums @Beckym020

You would need to move your hand more to get those steps counted or log the walk as an activity. Have you tried putting the tracker in your pocket to see how that goes? Many who can't wear the bracelet at work, put the tracker part in their pocket or placed inside a sock. You may need to experiment to see which one works best for you.

Glad to see you on the forums. Take care of that little one.

I use the bigger band and strap it  to my ankle. If you do it right the heart rate will track also. (Behind ankle bone) That’s what I have been doing as if I go to the store and push a cart I don’t log steps. I saw some teen girls in a McDonalds with their trackers on their ankle and I asked my daughter why they did that and she said people say it tracks steps more accurately. Hope that helps.

This supports my desire to have Fbit supply a clip option for the HR version.  I'm hoping some aftermarket steps up.

Thanks for your reply. I have since noticed that when I’m pushing the pram the Fitbit thinks I’m riding a bike! It is still tracking my steps though so do you think it’s best to just let it think I’m on a bike?!

Your choice, but you can change it on the app to say walk. Mine comes up swim or sport at times and I just change them to walk.

I wear it in my bra strap! It’s the only way I’ve been able to get an accurate read of my steps and HR..... not ideal but it works
