Won't track full workout

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit inspire hr won't track my full workouts. For example, I worked out for 40 minutes but it only tracked 25 minutes. Plus, It says I'm doing biking or sports instead of walking or aerobic workouts. Also, it sometimes won't record my heartrate properly, especially when exercising, so I'm not getting a proper calorie burn.

My Fitbit hr has recently stopped recording exercise routines. My 20 minute walk in the morning and 40 minute in afternoon only show up as steps. Very disappointed with result. Have emailed Fitbit. Waste of time. Never reply. I know it’s not an expensive item but I expected a lot more

Welcome to the Community @Chocoalli and @Eldubois. I've merged your posts here.

Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried. I appreciate that you contacted our Support team @Eldubois

SmartTrack recognizes activities based on the continuous movement of your arms. Sometimes, motions such as placing your arms on the bar of a treadmill, or pushing a stroller while you walk, may interrupt SmartTrack. Additionally, stopping in the middle of an exercise may interrupt the activity tracking.

By default, SmartTrack recognizes an exercise that lasts at least 15 minutes. If your activities aren't being recognized, lowering the time auto-exercise recognition setting to 10 minutes may help ensure they record properly.

Regarding your heart rate information, please try these tips to improve the accuracy of your heart-rate reading on your Fitbit device

Let me know how it goes.

Hi I followed all your suggestions. My Fitbit still is hit and miss what it will track. I have my walk setting at 10 mins and my run at 15 and today I did 40 mins walk and no sign of it.
I started walking this morning at 8:16 but it only tracked from 8:32.
I spend more time deleting my app and reinstalling.
Also although my app recognises I have 5 days exercise goals my Fitbit watch only shows 4. It can take 24 hours plus for that to rectify
