I wore my Fitbit Inspire 2 into a shallow swimming pool yesterday and by the time I got home, it was dead. No display, no sync, nothing. I charged it overnight hoping that would help, but still nothing. What can I do? It’s supposed to be water proof through 50 meters, but I was barely in 6 feet of water.

Hi, @FrankBrickell , Water resistance does deteriorate over time, and many factors can affect this. Unfortunately, as an older device, it is highly likely that the original warranty on your Fitbit has expired.
In a situation where you suspect your Fitbit has got water inside it is always better to dry it out first before trying to charge it! However, it may still be possible for it to recover. I would suggest putting it in a bag of uncooked rice for at least 72 hours. The rice should help dry it out. After that plug it in again to charge and give it a good 2 hours charge and then try the restart procedure . Try it a couple of times as a first restart does not always work. With luck your Fitbit will come back to life.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
