Zone minutes

I only do between 8,000 and 13,000 steps daily.  Yet my zone minutes are virtually never below 150 but usually over 200 to 320.  I only ever walk. I don’t jog or run. My rhb is 58 bpm and fat burn starts at 95bpm. I’m 65. None of my friends have any where near that number of zone minutes. Most have between 30 and 50.

Look at your heart rate chart from during a walk.  Is it mostly 95 or above? Any time 95 or above is getting you Zone minutes.  It's all in the heart rate. You can look at you heart rate charts and see for yourself when you are getting Zone Minutes.  If your walks are mostly just above 95 bpm, then  it's really not much difference between whether you got Zone Minutes there or not.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
