calories burned

I have a pretty fast metabolism, and an irregularly high weight for my size (making my bmr kind of wacky). Are my calories burned readings accurate or does it only really work for a normal metabolism?

My first question would be: why do you think your metabolism is high?  Have you had some lab work done, or is just a feeling?  Have you actually had your BMR measured, and if so, how does it compare to what Fitbit uses?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
