can't sync to Moto G6 since recent Inspire HR update

On Sept. 3 I installed the update for my Fitbit HR.  It appears to be working but now it is no longer syncing to my Moto G6. when I try to refresh, it just spins and never connects.  Bluetooth is on.  The phone still shows the battery level from that day.  I have charged it since then. Moto G6, Fitbit app are up to date.  Please help.

Hi @BlueIris263  I have two friends using the Moto phones and one has the Moto G6 stylus. Both of them, when they have problems, will go to the app and force a sync. So far, that has worked for them. I had one tell me the procedure. Go to the app dashboard and click on your name. Scroll down to your device and click that. Then pull down to sync. Not sure why, but that is how both of them get past the spinning that kept them from syncing. See if that might help you and let us know. Also, restart the phone and then try to sync.

Thanks Odyssey13!  Yes, I have tried that method to force a sync too.  The arrow spins, but it almost seems like it's not able to find the device.  On the app on my phone (which I have restarted many times), under settings for the Fitbit, it says that it was updated 5/5/2020 ver 1.88.11.  the Fitbit HR itself says ver Fit OS 34.20001.88.11 and I only recently updated it.  Do I need to reboot the device too?  or have to do something with bluetooth?  Thanks for any wisdom.

@BlueIris263  you should restart your Inspire HR when you charge it, as it's similar to restarting a cell phone or computer. Toggling bluetooth off and on might help, as logging out and back into the app. Any of those might just get it going. My friend does all three at times.
